Don’t be a Scarecrow this Halloween by Texting and Driving!
Trick or Treat! We all have busy schedules and sometimes we think that we have to do a million things all at the same time. But what we don’t realize is that we’re not really giving ourselves a treat by multi-tasking while driving, we are actually engaging in a very dangerous trick!
Download this picture and tape it to your dashboard. It’ll be a reminder of the pledge you made to make the roads safer. ( Go to http://www.momsmsg.com/ to sign the pledge if you still haven't... )
Do check-out the MomsMsg.com public service announcement in the November-December issue of CHS-PTA newsletter!
Don’t make excuses or alibis. You probably think that it will not happen to you - I bet that’s what other people thought who got into an accident while texting and driving. And if you’re carpooling some other parents’ kids, you are responsible for their lives, too! So make a difference and stay focused while driving!
Children mimic our every move. So don’t scare them by distracted driving. Be a role model and talk to your teen and young adult drivers to keep their minds and hands on the wheel. You are saving their lives and the lives of other people in their cars and on the roads!
Sure, it's tough to break a bad habit - but like anything else, if there's a will, we can definitely do it!
Bundle-up, go outside, zenwalk and enjoy the colorful Fall season...
