In pursuit of beauty

Monday, April 16, 2012

During one of my family’s 17 hour car drive, one of the conversations that came up was, “What is beauty?”

Can beauty be measured?
Can you put a value to something that’s beautiful? Is it all about the money?

Can beauty be recognized only through the rear view mirror?
Can you only recognize beauty when it is upon you?
Can you only recognize beauty in comparison to something less beautiful?

Needless to say, we all have our own definition of what’s beautiful.

But one thing is definite; every one has the power to be beautiful.
Just look in the mirror.

  1. WHat a great post. I like the question "Can beauty be recognized when it's upon you? my answe is only if you're aware of it. I find beauty in the small things and in the everyday things. Like the smily of my hubby or the wagging tails of my dogs. I really enjoyed your post. :)
