I am here to …a tribute to mom

Wednesday, May 06, 2009

As we finalized our 2nd child’s college plans, I remembered a few things ...

You showed me the way
I followed the path;

You held my hand
I stood when I fell;

You pushed aside my weaknesses
I discovered far beyond my reach;

You nurtured my strengths
I aspired of BIG dreams;

AND NOW…

I am here to be me
Not what you want me to be;

I am here to pursue my own dreams
Not what you think I oath to be;

I am here to explore beyond the fence
Not where you feel I should be;

I am here to be me… with you by my side.

To my mom who encourages me to be me:

  4. I think we all go through phases when we couldn't stand to be at home and couldn't understand why our moms can drive us crazy...but now that I'm a mom, I kind of know how she felt =D.

    Thank you all for stopping by!

  8. Love reading your blogs Ate Jen, inspires me to start my own or even just to start writing in a journal for myself-to remember how great it feels when my babies give me random hugs & smiles or look to me for comfort & protection. Eventhough my kids are still babies, I'm bracing myself for the time when they wanna leave the house. Hopefully I will be as strong & encouraging as my own mom was when I left home. Happy Mothers Day!
