Last week was a crazy week. A lot of decisions made – college, career, life!
We teach our kids to be independent thinkers, but then we sometimes worry when they finally decide something on their own;
We keep our kids busy with every activity they enjoy and love, but then sometimes it hurts us when they’re hurt or rejected;
We show them to follow our foot prints so they won’t get lost, but they will make their own foot prints on a different path;
We feel the pins and needles of their anxieties, and we cherish the hugs and kisses of their happiness.
Someone told me that I’ve been taught to rely on myself;
Someone pointed out that I am highly motivated and aggressive if I want something done;
Someone reminded me that I have to look out for myself because no one else will;
It sounds like I’m a totally independent person – but far from it!
I am driven and can be obsessed about something but I still rely on other people.
My family has always been my support, my guidance, my mission.
I believe that I am who I am now partly because of my mom.
She's a strong person who cares deeply about her family.
She cherishes her family first, and I'm blessed that she's my mother.
May is so truly her month. She loves gardening - the flowers just remind me so much of her.
Mom, Philippines is thousands of miles away, I can't hug you right at this moment, but I want you to know that I love and miss you!
This music piece, "Estrellitta, that my 13yo recorded reminds me so much of my mom. I grew-up listening to her play this piano piece.
